Today we visited El Hato for the third time and I'm starting to really like it here. Coming here, I expected the kids to be lifeless and have not many interests in things, but I was wrong. The kids here are so energetic in so many ways, dealing with sports, classes, and socializing with friends.
Moments upon entering the painted pillars and walls of El Hato, I was jumped on by a girl in the fifth grade named Soria, and at that moment I broke into a smile, grinning at the smile that carries on her everyday life at El Hato and in Guatemala. But besides El Hato, I am kind of feeling home sick, even though we have only been here for just six days. I don't know whether because of the lifestyle here is so different from mine in McLean, but I want it to go away.
