WASHINGTON, April 18 (Reuters) - A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck western Guatemala on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The USGS said the quake occurred at about 7:30 a.m local time (1330 GMT) and was centered 23 km (14 miles) east of Suchiate in Mexico's Chiapas state and 35 km (21 miles) west of Retalhuleu in Guatemala.
